Tofoo Cajun Fries

A simple side that punches well above its 25-minute cook time. Naked Tofoo is cut into batons, coated in a homemade Cajun seasoning built from paprika, cayenne, and turmeric, and shallow-fried until golden and crisp on every side. No breadcrumbs, no batter - just proper spice and crunch, ready for whatever dip you fancy

Ingredients

  1. 1 pack Naked Tofoo
  2. Sunflower oil
For the Cajun Seasoning
  1. 1 tsp sea salt
  2. 1 tsp garlic powder
  3. 1 1/2 tsp paprika
  4. 1 tsp ground black pepper
  5. 1 tsp onion powder
  6. 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  7. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  8. 100g plain flour

Get started

1. Add 1cm of sunflower oil to a frying pan and bring to a medium heat.
2. Take the Tofoo and cut it length ways into batons 1cm x 1cm.
3. Mix all the Cajun ingredients together with the flour and toss the Tofoo batons until well coated.
4. Fry the Tofoo fries turning until golden brown on all sides.
5. Put the Tofoo fries in a bowl and serve with dips of your choice.
