Salt and Pepper Smoked Tofoo

  1. 2 packs Smoked Tofoo
  2. 5 Spring onions
  3. 2 cloves garlic
  4. 9 Bird’s Eye chillies
  5. 6 tbsp cornflour
  6. ½ tsp sugar
  7. Salt
  8. Pepper
  9. Vegetable oil

  1. In a bowl, add 1 tbsp of pepper, a big pinch of salt and the sugar. Give it a mix and set aside.
  2. Cut the Tofoo into 1-inch cubes. Add the cornflour to a bowl and dip the Tofoo in one by one.
  3. Pour roughly 1-inch of vegetable oil into a large frying pan on a medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the Tofoo and fry until crispy on all sides. Set aside for later.
  4. Finely chop the spring onions, garlic and chillies. In a new pan, add a glug of vegetable oil and fry the spring onions, garlic and chilli on a medium heat until soft and fragrant.
  5. Add the Tofoo and stir to combine with the spring onion mixture. Sprinkle the pepper, salt and sugar over the Tofoo and stir through until fully coated. Serve and munch!
