Get started

Ingredients

    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced (can substitute for 1 tsp garlic puree)
    • Thumb of ginger, grated (can substitute for 1 tsp ginger paste)
    • 1 pack Tofoo Marinated Smoky BBQ Strips
    • 200g tenderstem broccoli
    • 2 tbsp maple syrup
    • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
    • 1 tbsp dark soy
    • 1/2 tsp 5 spice
To serve
    • 1 pack microwave sticky rice
    • 1/3 cucumber, cut into moons
    • Handful peanuts, roughly chopped

Get started

  1. Heat your oil in a non-stick pan over a medium heat, add your garlic and ginger and fry for 1-2 mins until fragrant. Add your smoky BBQ strips and tenderstem and fry for 5-8 mins until your Tofoo is starting to crisp and colour (toss about to avoid any sticking).
  2. Mix your maple, hoisin, soy, 5 spice and large pinch of salt in a small bowl and then add to the pan, tossing all ingredients about so evenly coated. Heat for a further few mins.
  3. Cook your microwave rice as per the pack instructions and divide across two bowls. Top with char sui Tofoo and broccoli, cucumber moons and a sprinkling of peanuts. Winner, winner, Tofoo dinner!
