Get this stuff
  1. 1 pack Naked Tofoo
  2. 1 tbsp olive oil
  3. ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  4. 1 tsp paprika
  5. 2 tbsp maple syrup
  6. 50g walnuts
  7. 12 small figs
  8. Fresh basil leaves to decorate
  9. Bamboo skewers
Do this stuff
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Cut the Tofoo into 12 (approx. 2cm) squares then place in a bowl and mix with the olive oil, cayenne pepper and paprika. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Keeping the figs whole, cut a cross into the tops, cutting halfway down the figs.
  4. Take a piece of marinated Tofoo and place inside the cut of the fig, then secure by skewering a skewer through the side of the fig.
  5. Once all the figs are filled, place on a baking tray, and place a walnut half on top of each stuffed fig. Drizzle with the maple syrup and bake in the oven for 15-20 mins until softened and caramelised.
  6. Place the cooked figs on a serving plate and scatter with the basil leaves. Serve warm.
