INTERIM Process Technician

Job Purpose
The Process Technician will play a key role in supporting process development and equipment selection initiatives by preparing and executing trials, collecting and analyzing process data using statistical tools, and presenting findings to cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in a similar technical role within a manufacturing or R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities
· Set up, execute, and monitor lab-scale, pilot-scale, or full-scale process trials in collaboration with engineering, operations teams or external suppliers/partners.
· Collect, record, and organise process data accurately during and after trials
· Conduct statistical analysis on data sets using tools such as Minitab, Excel, or JMP to identify trends, correlations, and significant variables
· Interpret data and summarise findings with clear visualisations (e.g., charts, control charts, regression models)
· Prepare and present detailed reports including methodology, results, conclusions, and actionable recommendations for process improvements
· Ensure all trial activities comply with health, safety, and quality standards
· Maintain trial documentation, SOPs, and equipment logs
· Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and quality assurance departments

Qualifications and Experience
· Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, Applied Sciences, or a related field
· Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a process technician or process development role with exposure to experimental trials and data analysis
· Proven experience in using statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Excel)
· Strong understanding of experimental design (DOE) and root cause analysis methods (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams)

Skills and Competencies
· Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills
· Strong technical and problem-solving abilities
· Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
· Comfortable working independently or in a cross-functional team
· High attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy
· Strong organizational and time management skills

Working Conditions
· May require occasional work in lab, pilot plant, and production environments
· Physical work such as lifting, operating equipment, and wearing PPE may be involved
· Some shift flexibility may be needed to support trials during production hours

Financial Controller

Key Responsibilities

· Preparation of monthly management accounts with detailed analysis and commentary.
· Maintain the company’s asset register and depreciation postings.
· Lead on the production of statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP.
· Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
· Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and supporting sub-ledgers.
· Maintain and develop internal financial controls and procedures.
· Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.
· Support cash flow management and reporting.
· Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting deadlines.
· Provide financial insights and support to senior management for strategic decision-making.
· Liaise with tax advisors and HMRC where required.
· To support colleagues with ad-hoc work.

Required Skills & Experience

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Proven experience in a financial controller or senior finance role.
Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and statutory reporting.
Proficiency in preparing and interpreting management accounts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Advanced Excel skills.
Effective communication and leadership skills.
Experience in working with external auditors.
Tax experience or understanding is beneficial but not essential.

Interim Technical Manager

Reporting directly to the Head of Technical, the Interim Technical Manager will oversee the technical aspects
of food production, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality and compliance with industry
regulations. In addition, this role involves managing technical projects, troubleshooting production issues and
collaborating with the respective operational functional teams to enhance product quality and process
efficiency with an overarching responsible for driving a positive food and feed safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Development:
Collaborate with the NPD team to develop new products and improve existing ones.
Oversee formulation and ingredient specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
Evaluate and approve new raw materials and suppliers.
2. Technical Support:
Provide technical expertise and support to production, procurement, and other teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to product quality and production processes.
, Develop and deliver training programs for staff on food safety and quality standards.
As required, assist or lead on customer and industry audits.
3. Supplier Management:
Carry out supplier approval ensuring that suppliers meet the Tofoo supplier approval requirements.
Periodically risk assess the supply chain to identify any food safety hazards and where hazards are identified
ensure that appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
Maintain all supplier documentation and ensure that this is readily available for internal review or audit.
4. Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated with changes in food and feed laws and regulations. Ensure all products and processes comply
with local, national, and international regulations.
Prepare and submit regulatory documentation as required.
5. Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Implement best practices in food safety and quality management. Lead initiatives to reduce waste and
increase sustainability in production processes.
6. HACCP team lead
Coordinate all internal HACCP team meetings and reviews
Maintain all documentation pertaining to HACCP
Ensure all NPD processes are captured and reviewed against
HACCP principles prior to first production Lead HACCP review during audit
7. Lead Feed Products:
Act as the site champion for animal feed, developing procedures and policies aligned with animal feed
requirements.
Collating and trending results with regard to feed requirements.
8. Lead Pest Control:
Build a strong relationship with our contracted Pest control contractor working with them to identify potential
pest harbourage and access points.
Ensure that any issues highlighted with regards to pest control are suitably addressed in a timely manner.
Ensure that comprehensive records of pest control are maintained and ensure that these are readily available
for regulatory audit.
9. Customer technical management:
Support with any technical queries or requests from customers.
Update customer platforms with relevant technical documentation as required.
