Have you heard of Tempeh? Do you know what it’s made of? Not a clue? Don’t worry, you’re not alone.
Tempeh is pretty new to the UK – that’s where we come in. The Tofoo Co is going to be selling Tempeh in the UK, in selected Sainsbury’s to be exact.
Tell us more – we hear you cry! Well, Tempeh like Tofoo, is made from soya beans, but (and this is the clever bit) it’s full of whole pieces of soya bean to create a firmer, more dense texture with a delicious earthy, nutty flavour.
Our Tempeh is organic and chock-full of chunky soya bean goodness. It’s fermented with a live culture, and then pressed into a dense, high protein base for all kinds of delicious, healthy meals. As well as being organic and certified by the Soil Association, it’s also GM free, and dairy and gluten free too. It’s suitable for vegans, veggies, flexitarians and carnivores too, so everyone can enjoy. What a hero!
